2023 VOGA Holiday Meal Drive provides 4200 meals to those in need

For Immediate release: Virginia Oil and Gas Association (VOGA) provides 4200 meals to those in need throughout Southwest Virginia.


 ​Abingdon Virginia, December 20, 2023- Since 2020, Lawton Mullins Virginia Oil & Gas Association President, Lawton Mullins has issued a yearly challenge to VOGA member companies and board members look to make donations towards providing meals to those who are in need in the communities where VOGA member companies and their employees live and work. This year, VOGA provided 720 families with a holiday meal that included, turkey or ham, side dishes and dessert.  


“The past 4 years have been difficult for so many individuals and families who reside in Southwest Virginia.  The tremendous response and generosity by our members have exceeded all my expectations. We will be able to provide 4200 of our neighbors with a prepared meal,” said Mullins.
