Southwest Virginia Hot Christmas Meal Project- 2022

For Immediate release: Virginia Oil and Gas Association to provide 1000 hot meals to people in need in Southwest Virginia Abingdon Virginia, December 15, 2022- Since 2020,VOGA President Lawton Mullins, has issued a challenge to Virginia Oil and Gas Association members to help provide hot meals to those in need in counties within SWVA in honor of the Christmas Holidays. The response has been phenomenal, allowing the Association to serve thousands hot meals to those in need to 5 communities in Southwestern Virginia. “The past 3 years has been difficult for everyone, the response and generosity by our members has been amazing, we are excited to again be able to offer these meals during this holiday season” said Beth Stockner, the Spokesperson and Public Relations Director for the Virginia Oil and Gas Association. In addition to the assistance provided to the region during the Buchanan County floods this summer, 14 member companies and several anonymous donors have leaped on board to make this project come to fruition to help those in need at a time when it is needed most. Public locations are listed below on the following dates and times throughout the next few weeks for anyone in need while supplies last. Times, locations and availability are subject to change.
