Southwest Virginia Hot Christmas Meal Project- 2020

For Immediate release: Virginia Oil and Gas Association to provide 1000 hot meals to people in need across SWVA

Southwest Virginia, December 15, 2020- The Virginia Oil and Gas Association President, Lawton Mullins (Natural Resource Services, Inc) issued a challenge to members of the organization last week, to help provide 500 hot meals to those in need in 2 counties in SWVA in honor of the Christmas Holidays. That original goal quickly doubled to provide approximately 1000 meals across 4 area counties.

“This year has been a hard year for everyone, the response and generosity by our members has been amazing, we are excited to be able to offer these meals during this holiday season” said Beth Stockner, the Public Relations Director for the Virginia Oil and Gas Association. Fourteen member companies and several anonymous donors leaped on board to make this project come to fruition to help those in need at a time it is needed most. Thank you to the following sponsors for helping to provide these meals to others in need this season. CNX, Gasco, Noah Horn Well Drilling, Natural Resource Services, Inc., Appalachian Energy, Draper Aden, Diversified, KNL, AquaClear, Enervest, G&R and other anonymous donors.

Hot Christmas dinner pickups will be offered at the locations below during the following dates and times throughout next week for anyone in need while supplies last. Priority pickup times will be offered for recipients of the “Shop with a Cop” program in Buchanan and Dickenson Counties.

Times, locations and availability are subject to change. Please visit the Virginia Oil and Gas Association Facebook Page, facebook.com/VaOilandGas or it’s website at www.vaoilandgas.com for updates and details.
